Job summary

Cooper Tacia General Contracting is seeking a seasoned Project Manager with a strong background in large commercial and industrial construction to oversee planning and execution of high-value projects. You will mentor PMs and engineers, drive cost control and scheduling, and ensure adherence to codes and standards across multi-site deployments.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in a construction-related field and extensive experience with major projects ($25M+).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field and at least ten years PM experience preferred.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Completion of projects valued at $25 million or more.
• Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam and MS Office; Primavera P6 a plus.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage complex negotiations.
• Excellent multitasking abilities and track record of handling multiple projects without sacrificing quality.

• Collaborate with the Superintendent on site visits and issue resolution.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the Planning and execution of major Commercial and Industrial construction projects valued at $25 million or more, ensuring they meet or exceed expectations in terms of quality, time and budget.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to a team of at least two Project Managers (PM1 and PM2), Assistant Project Managers (APMs), and Project Engineers, fostering professional growth and development.
• Oversee all aspects of cost management, ensuring weekly updates on cost projections. Develop financial strategies to maximize project profits, oversee the general conditions budget, and ensure accurate and fair allocation in subcontractor schedules of values.
• Maintain strict adherence to compliance with all relevant building codes, regulations, and quality standards.
• Take full responsibility for the development and management of project schedules, maintaining owner and subcontractor schedules on a weekly basis, and using the schedule as a tool to track critical dates and communicate key deadlines to all stakeholders.
• Collaborate closely with the Superintendent, facilitating project site visits and strategy sessions, and taking ownership of project-related issues and conflict resolution.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field, along with at least ten years of construction project management experience preferred. Candidates with equivalent relevant experience in lieu of a degree will also be considered.
• Minimum of 6 years' experience managing commercial construction projects.
• Completion of projects valued at $25 million or more.
• Proficiency in Procore, MS Project, Bluebeam and MS Office; experience with Primavera P6 a plus
• Strong communication skills, capable of effectively managing team interactions and complex project negotiations.
• Excellent multitasking abilities, with a track record of managing multiple projects without compromising quality.
