Appleton Finn is seeking a Travelling Senior Project Manager for a major Data Center project in Central Texas. The role requires leading Project Managers and field teams, with frequent on-site oversight during extended travel cycles.

Strong background in large-scale electrical construction is preferred. Responsibilities include client liaison, risk management, and financial oversight, with competitive compensation including travel allowances, per diem, and a 401(k) plan.

Qualifications

• 7+ years progressive experience in construction, design, project management
• Experience leading teams; prior supervisory experience required
• Strong communication, planning and problem-solving skills
• MS Office proficiency

Responsibilities

• Provide direct oversight and leadership to Project Managers, engineers, and field teams
• Define project goals and develop documentation and execution plans
• Act as the primary client contact throughout the project lifecycle
• Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders to ensure progress
• Coordinate administrative and field operations to keep projects on schedule and within budget
• Identify and resolve project risks; implement corrective actions
• Represent the company in project meetings and strategic discussions
• Oversee project finances, including contracts, invoicing, and cost controls
• Supervise Project Managers, providing mentorship and performance oversight
