Qualifications

• Active Connecticut OT license required for consideration.
• Experience serving children or young adults in school settings, either through fieldwork or prior roles.
• Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with teachers, parents, and other support staff.
• Flexibility and adaptability to travel between school sites as needed.
• Commitment to engaging students with diverse needs and delivering creative, individualized interventions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in accordance with their IEPs and district policies.
• Assess, develop, and implement intervention strategies designed to improve students participation in their daily academic and life skills.
• Maintain organized, thorough documentation of assessments, interventions, and student progress.
• Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based team consultations, sharing your expertise on best practices and recommendations.
• Travel between assigned school locations within the district, supporting staff and students on-site.
