Job summary

hth companies is seeking a Traveling Safety Manager based in Hannibal, MO, with extensive field travel to sites across the Midwest. You will advise the Corporate Office on safety compliance, conduct trainings, and perform audits to ensure proper safety practices are followed at all locations.

The role requires OSHA 30, a minimum of 3 years in a direct safety role, and strong communication and leadership abilities to coordinate with site supervision and clients.

Qualifications

• Experience with OSHA regulatory requirements and training related to construction and industrial operations
• Ability to write reports and business correspondence
• Excellent communication and presentation skills

Responsibilities

• Advise the Corporate Office on safety compliance concerns and preventative actions.
• Assist Corporate Safety and Site Superintendent in ensuring training of safety policies and procedures, including OSHA, MSHA, and DOT requirements.
• Travel to various locations as needed and plan training with Site Supervision.
• Conduct training for employees on site safety practices and new hire orientations.
• Verify JHAs and permits are completed and hazards mitigated; maintain safety files and records.
• Hold daily safety meetings and maintain weekly summary logs.
• Perform safety hazard assessments, audits, and follow-up on corrective actions.
• Investigate incidents and near misses in coordination with the Safety Director.
