Job summary

Goble Family Restaurants – McDonald’s in Maine seeks a dependable Restaurant Maintenance & Repair Technician to support our McDonald’s restaurants across the state. The role involves traveling between locations to perform repairs, troubleshoot equipment, complete preventive maintenance, and help keep restaurants safe and operational.

The ideal candidate will have strong mechanical and troubleshooting abilities, be comfortable working independently, and possess a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Previous maintenance, facilities, construction, mechanical, or repair experience preferred.
• Experience with basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, or commercial equipment repair is preferred.
• Valid driver's license and reliable driving record required.
• Ability to work independently and prioritize multiple repair requests.
• Must be comfortable traveling between restaurant locations throughout Maine.

Responsibilities

• Travel to multiple restaurant locations to complete maintenance and repair work.
• Diagnose and repair general building and restaurant equipment issues.
• Perform basic plumbing, electrical, carpentry, and general facility repairs within the technician's level of training and qualification.
• Troubleshoot restaurant equipment and determine whether repairs can be completed internally or require an outside vendor.
• Complete preventive maintenance to reduce equipment failures and unexpected downtime.
• Repair doors, locks, fixtures, shelving, cabinetry, walls, flooring, and other building components.
• Assist with minor plumbing issues such as faucets, drains, toilets, and leaks.
• Assist with basic electrical repairs such as switches, outlets, lighting, and fixtures when qualified to do so.
• Perform minor equipment repairs and replacement of parts.
• Inspect restaurants for maintenance concerns and identify problems before they become larger repairs.
• Respond to repair requests from restaurant management and operations leadership.
• Communicate the status of repairs, parts needed, and any additional work required.
• Maintain tools, parts, and maintenance supplies.
• Coordinate with approved outside vendors when specialized repairs are required.
• Maintain accurate records of work completed, parts used, and outstanding repair needs.
• Follow all company safety procedures and applicable codes and regulations.
• Help ensure restaurant equipment and facilities are maintained in safe working condition.
