Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Float Team. The role involves rotating across multiple Twin Cities hospitals, providing neonatal through geriatric respiratory care per physician orders and department protocols.

You will assess patient needs, implement interventions, monitor responses, and maintain equipment while supporting staffing needs across sites. Requires RT license and NBRC credentials, with ACLS/NRP within 6 months.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree in respiratory care is required.
• Minnesota RT license and NBRC–recognized RRT certification are required.
• BLS certification is required.
• ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic respiratory care per physician orders.
• Follow department protocols and ensure patient safety during treatments.
• Assess and document patient responses and outcomes.
• Operate and maintain respiratory care equipment across multiple sites.
