Job summary

Fairview Health Services is seeking a Respiratory Therapist to join the Respiratory Therapy Float Team. The role floats across multiple Twin Cities hospitals, supporting staffing needs and gaining diverse clinical experience.

The position requires an Associate’s degree with Minnesota RT licensure, NBRC RRT, and BLS; ACLS and NRP within 6 months of hire are required. Up to 30 hours weekly, with 8–12 hour shifts, days/evenings/overnights.

Qualifications

• Associate’s Degree in Respiratory Care/Therapy or related field.
• Minnesota Board of Medical Practice Respiratory Therapist License
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) issued by NBRC
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• ACLS certification within 6 months of hire
• Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) within 6 months of hire

Responsibilities

• Assessing patient needs and identifies expected outcomes.
• Implementing Respiratory interventions based on plan of care.
• Evaluating care and the patient’s response to interventions and expected outcomes.
• Delivering care as delegated by physician/authorized practitioner to assigned patient population, or individual patient.
• Operating and maintaining all Respiratory Care equipment
