Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to support startup, testing, commissioning, and optimization of commercial and industrial refrigeration across the United States. You will work hands-on with large-scale NH3 and CO2 systems, performing startup activities, diagnostics, and balancing to ensure safe and efficient operation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering or 4+ years of related experience if no degree.
• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Commissioning certification (NEBB TAB Tech or Cx Tech) preferred.
• Experience with commissioning ammonia (NH3) and/or CO2 systems is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create owner project requirements, construction plans and specifications.
• Review drawings and maintain comments records.
• Generate checklists and tests for equipment.
• Visit sites to complete pre-functional test checklists and functional perf tests.
• Generate site observation and issues reports and final reports.
• Review equipment submittals and maintain comment records.
• Develop and maintain client relationships and project folders.
• Evaluate budgets to allocate resources and time for each job.
