Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions seeks a Commissioning Technician to support field startup, testing, and troubleshooting of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems. Based at a national office, you will execute commissioning for NH3 and CO2 systems, perform pre-functional checks, start-ups, and tests per design intent and industry standards.

You will review drawings, generate reports, and communicate findings with project teams while traveling ~50% to job sites nationwide.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4+ years of related experience.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Cx/NEBB TAB Tech or Cx Tech certification preferred.
• Experience with commissioning or testing/balancing is preferred.
• Experience with NH3 and/or CO2 refrigeration systems is preferred.
• Ability to read and translate drawings to building systems.
• Knowledge of ASHRAE, LEED commissioning requirements.
• Strong communication skills; independent with mentorship as needed.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning and start-up activities for ammonia NH3, CO2 transcritical, and hybrid refrigeration systems.
• Perform pre-functional checks, start-up, testing, and balancing.
• Prepare owner project requirements, construction plans and specs.
• Create checklists and test plans; conduct site visits for testing and reporting.
• Develop and maintain client relationships; manage project folders and budgets.
