Job summary

Henderson Building Solutions is seeking a Refrigeration Technician to support startup, testing, commissioning, and optimization of commercial and industrial refrigeration systems across the United States. You will work hands-on with large-scale NH3/CO2 systems, travel to project sites, and collaborate with contractors, owners, and equipment manufacturers to ensure turnkey operation.

This role requires traveling up to ~50% of the time, with responsibilities spanning system startup, diagnostics,

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or 4+ years' experience in commissioning of refrigeration systems.
• Experience with NH3/CO2 refrigeration commissioning preferred.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel nationwide.
• Strong communication and ability to work with contractors and owners.

Responsibilities

• Create owner project requirements, construction plans and specs.
• Perform startup, testing, balancing and diagnostics on refrigeration systems.
• Travel to project sites and coordinate with contractors and manufacturers.
• Prepare final reports and maintain client relationships.
• Review equipment submittals and maintain comments records.
• Ensure equipment operates safely and as designed.
