Job summary

AVI Foodsystems, Inc. is seeking a Traveling K-12 Registered Dietitian to lead nutrition strategies within our School Services Division.

The role involves travel between school locations, collaborating with on-site teams and administrators to ensure compliant, appealing meals across public and private programs. Ideal candidates hold a Bachelor’s in Nutrition Dietetics and are a Registered Dietitian licensed in the state, with experience in NSLP regulations and school nutrition software.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nutrition Dietetics from an accredited program.
• Registered Dietitian (RD) through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) and licensed to practice in the state.
• Comprehensive knowledge of nutrition services and NSLP regulations.
• Strong written and verbal communication with patients, schools, and teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement and document nutrition intervention plans.
• Provide timely follow-up and documentation.
• Assess varied age-specific populations with cultural and religious considerations.
• Evaluate effectiveness of nutrition therapy interventions and adjust as needed.
• Collaborate with foodservice team to ensure diet prescriptions are followed.
• Provide nutrition counseling for individuals and groups.
• Participate in community projects and education.
• Conduct in-services and educational presentations.
• Maintain productivity and prioritize tasks.
• Maintain accurate records of daily clinical activities and billing.
