Job summary

Drummac, Inc. is seeking a Traveling Electrical Technician to install and service electrical components in rail cars.

This role requires reading schematics, wiring and following management directives, with daily progress reporting and strict safety compliance in a mobile, on-site capacity across regions. Based in Wareham, MA, the position is full-time and paid hourly at $36–$38, with the actual rate determined by experience and skills.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED (or equivalent reading, writing and reasoning skills).
• Proficient in reading and understanding electrical schematics.
• Lift and carry up to 50 lbs. or more regularly.
• Pre-employment screening process required.
• Electrical experience necessary (documented).

Responsibilities

• Install electrical components into rail cars.
• Identify electrical problems using testing devices.
• Inspect electrical components such as circuit breakers and contactors.
• Run wiring for 110v, 480v and 74v systems as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized.
• Notify supervisor of any faulty equipment.
• Wear and use required protective equipment while working.
• Ensure your own safety while on the job.
• Perform other related duties as required or assigned.
