Job summary

EPI Power, LLC, a subsidiary of The Weitz Company, seeks a Project Safety Manager for a Des Moines, IA project. You will provide site safety leadership, implement safety programs, and lead training to ensure project-wide safety compliance.

The role requires hands-on safety oversight, incident investigation, and audits, with a 58-hour work week, six days per week. Join a company prioritizing safety and data-center focused electrical construction.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience
• OSHA 30 certification preferred

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of the project safety plan
• Track and trend project safety performance and recommend corrective actions
• Verify project team adherence to safety processes
• Assist project teams with enforcement of safety programs
• Facilitate project safety committees
• Lead safety preconstruction meetings and pre-task planning
• Conduct or facilitate project-wide safety training
• Support regulatory safety compliance
• Coordinate safety inspections and verify corrective actions
• Ensure workers can stop work if unsafe
• Review incident investigations and reports
• Assemble and maintain site safety documentation
• Perform industrial hygiene assessments (noise, air)
• Coordinate safety activities with the Project Manager
• Participate in OSHA inspections and audits
• Encourage innovative safety thinking
