Job summary

EPI Power is hiring a Project Safety Manager to lead site safety on the Des Moines project. You will provide expert safety leadership, implement company safety standards, and train the project team.

This role requires active oversight of safety programs, audits, and incident investigations to keep workers safe on site. Expect to work a 58-hour week (Mon–Sat) and coordinate with the Project Manager to drive safety improvements across the project.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of construction safety experience.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Participate in the creation of the project safety plan.
• Track and trend project safety performance and recommend corrective actions.
• Verify adherence to safety management processes.
• Assist project teams with enforcement of safety programs and meetings.
• Facilitate project safety committees.
• Participate in safety preconstruction meetings and planning.
• Conduct or facilitate project-wide safety training.
• Support regulatory safety compliance.
• Facilitate safety inspections and verify corrective actions.
• Ensure authority to stop unsafe work until issues are resolved.
• Review incident investigations and How It Happened reports for accuracy.
• Maintain site safety documentation (permits, inspections, etc.).
• Perform industrial hygiene assessments (noise, air monitoring).
• Coordinate safety activities with the Project Manager.
• Participate in OSHA inspections and compliance audits.
• Encourage innovative safety thinking.
