Job summary

Mid-City Electric is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to lead large commercial electrical construction projects from inception to completion. Based in Westerville, Ohio, the role requires about 75% travel to active project sites and close collaboration with general contractors, vendors, and internal teams.

You will develop plans, schedules, and budgets, monitor costs, ensure safety and quality, and mentor Project Engineers.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in construction management or related field or extensive experience in electrical service and construction.
• Demonstrated leadership responsibility.
• Working knowledge of electrical construction, design, finance, and project management.
• Ability to travel approximately 75% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage one or more large commercial electrical projects from inception to completion.
• Develop project plans, schedules, and budgets aligned with client requirements and company goals.
• Coordinate with general contractors, vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for timely delivery.
• Conduct status meetings, provide progress updates, and resolve issues.
• Monitor costs, implement cost controls, and mitigate financial risks.
• Ensure safety, quality, and regulatory compliance.
• Supervise Project Engineers and Coordinators when assigned.
