Job summary

T.W. Frierson Contractor, Inc. in Nashville seeks a Traveling Project Manager to lead commercial and industrial construction projects across locations.

The role requires frequent travel and extended onsite presence, with an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) that gives you a stake in what you help create. As the primary onsite company representative, you will manage budgets, schedules, and safety, coordinate with design teams and subcontractors, and mentor project engineers and assistants

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in construction management, civil engineering, or related field.
• 3–7 years of project management experience in commercial/industrial construction.
• Experience managing projects from $5M to $25M in value and remote travel.

Responsibilities

• Plan, direct, and coordinate commercial/industrial construction projects to meet goals, budget, and schedule.
• Coordinate due diligence, design-build delivery, and change orders with stakeholders.
• Develop budgets, schedules, and cost control measures; monitor progress and communicate updates weekly.
• Lead on-site activities, mentor engineers and assistants, and maintain client relationships.
• Support VDC implementation and provide estimating assistance as needed.
• Maintain safety and quality while managing multiple locations and travel demands.
