Job summary

Helix Electric is seeking a Traveling Project Manager to plan, manage, oversee, and direct assigned projects across our electrical construction portfolio. You will develop and lead project teams, drive profitability, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while meeting contractual obligations.

Responsibilities include coordinating with customers, managing a team of 3 direct and 10 total reports, and overseeing third-party firms.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of project management experience in electrical commercial/mixed-use construction.
• Strong understanding of electric power engineering and field coordination with construction management.
• Proven ability to develop relationships, win projects, and lead teams with clear communication.

Responsibilities

• Develop and build strong teams for each project while delivering quality output, meeting customer expectations, and staying on budget.
• Drive division profitability through effective project execution.
• Lead project management goals, procurement, and contractual requirements.
• Evaluate and improve systems to meet customer needs and profitability goals.
• Manage a group of approximately 3 direct and 10 total reports with mentorship.
• Review contractual requirements and project design methodologies as needed.
• Ensure schedules are met and adjust priorities as requirements change.
• Interface with customers to validate expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Provide oversight for third-party construction firms and review project finances.
• Communicate challenges, risks, and successes proactively; oversee change orders.
