Traveling MEP PX role: We are looking for individuals willing to consider travel assignments at our Data Centers throughout the South region. A monthly travel stipend will be provided. The salary range for this position is estimated to be $140,000.00 - $200,000.00 annualized. Position Description

Lead, manage, and coordinate all phases of Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing (MEP) work on one or more construction projects of significant complexity and scale from preconstruction through to closeout. Oversee project team, risk, and operations to ensure success.

Essential Duties & Key Responsibilities
  • Develop operational plans for coordinating and implementing all phases of MEP work for one or concurrent construction projects of significant complexity and scale from preconstruction through closeout.
  • Lead multiple MEP disciplines through preconstruction process and facilitate project launch, conveying strategic MEP system design and operations considerations.
  • Partner, champion, support and validate opportunities to collaborate with other Turner entities and resources to optimize project operations and increase service offerings and capabilities.
  • Facilitate effective communication, collaboration, and alignment of project teams to support project goals and priorities.
  • Engage with project team regularly on site to maintain continuity throughout all phases, set expectations, define roles and responsibilities, serve as a resource to resolve matters, and guide teams to implement company initiatives and adopt technologies.
  • Guide project teams and stakeholders in adopting Turner business ethics and compliance programs.
  • Know and understand project contract obligations and manage expectations while upholding obligations with project team and stakeholders. Provide leadership for risk evaluations, contract negotiations, fees and pricing decisions.
  • Develop and maintain long‑lasting relationships with clients, design community, trades/subcontractors, and organizations to enhance future business development opportunities.
  • Provide overall MEP team leadership, supervise managers across disciplines, deliver timely performance feedback, contribute to performance appraisals, utilize talent management systems, and identify appropriate training.
  • Collaborate with Operations Managers and/or Construction Executive to manage workforce planning for staff capacity in support of specific project demands.
  • Ensure Turner's current standard practices for operational excellence are in place and hold the entire MEP team accountable to adopt and adhere to standards such as Safety, Project Launch, Production Control System, Scheduling, Engineering, Commissioning, and Quality.
  • Oversee development of master project schedule for MEP components and manage its implementation.
  • Develop, with Construction Executive, Master Production Plan schedule and oversee detailed production planning with Turner staff and subcontractors in accordance with schedule.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree from an accredited program in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, with a minimum of 15 years of related MEP and/or Special Systems experience, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Ability to interpret contract documents, drawings, specifications, scopes of work and project schedule.
  • Broad scope and significant complexity of construction project experience with progressive responsibility for MEP with an increasing scale.
  • Well‑rounded construction experience in both project and office positions, including Preconstruction, Procurement, Engineering, Superintendent, Scheduling, and supervision responsibilities.
  • Advanced knowledge of MEP innovation, trends, and key technical relationships.
  • Extensive knowledge of building construction, materials, systems, and trade practices.
  • Advanced knowledge of construction cost, scheduling, estimating, purchasing, engineering principles and techniques, and risk management.
  • Demonstrated emotional intelligence, including self‑awareness, social awareness, self‑management, and relationship management.
  • In‑depth critical thinking and analytical skills to address and resolve complex problems.
  • Ability to lead and manage through ambiguity and changing environments and demands.
  • Leadership skills and management experience, able to mentor, guide, develop teams, delegate work, observe performance, and deliver feedback.
  • Executive presence and presentation delivery skills with effective negotiation skills.
  • Ability to lead confidential discussions, influence leadership decision‑making, determine direction, and prioritize responsibilities.
  • Experience implementing continuous improvement concepts, methodology, and tools.
Physical Demands

Typical duties require sitting, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, crawling, handling tools, and reaching with hands, as well as speaking and hearing. The employee frequently views a computer monitor and uses a keyboard. Vision required includes close vision, peripheral vision, and depth perception. The role involves climbing stairs, using personnel hoists, ladders, and negotiating work areas. Regular travel is required. The employee must regularly lift up to 10 pounds and sometimes up to 25 pounds.

Work Environment

Work is conducted on construction sites, exposing the employee to moving mechanical parts, high precarious places, fumes, airborne particles, weather conditions, and risk of electrical shock. Noise levels are usually moderate to loud. The employee is required to work in compliance with company safety policies, procedures, and applicable laws.
