Job summary

Beaver Excavating Company is seeking a Traveling Project Engineer to support planning and execution of civil construction on a mission-critical project site in southern Ohio. The role emphasizes collaboration with project personnel and field staff.

You will assist the Project Manager with documents, schedules, drawings, cost analysis, and QA, ensuring records are accurate and up to date, while traveling as needed. Housing is provided for non-local candidates.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 2 years of construction experience with heavy/civil preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops solid working relationships with all project personnel.
• Assists in preparation of work orders, schedules, drawings, field measurements, subcontracts, and supplier agreements.
• Attends pre-construction meetings; assists with action items and proposed solutions.
• Provides support to the Project Manager, Superintendent, and Contract Administrator with job documents.
• Analyzes layout, sequencing, cost analysis, measurement of quantities, and clarify specifications.
• Ensures proper document control, QA documentation, and project records.
