Job summary

STO Building Group is seeking a Project Engineer to assist Project Managers in ensuring installations meet plans and specifications. The role requires travel outside California for extended assignments, with monthly home trips and eventual return to California.

You will review drawings, coordinate with architects, and help optimize production while maintaining safety. The position offers a full salary range of $70,000 to $85,000 with a target bonus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering, construction management, or related field, or the equivalent education and experience.
• Good written and oral communication skills.
• Reading and understanding blueprints.
• Willingness to travel outside of California for extended assignments.
• Ability to learn and adapt to safety requirements (OSHA).
• Experience with scheduling software preferred.
• One year of field experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists Project Managers to ensure work meets plan and specification requirements.
• Attend and take notes for project team meetings and distribute minutes.
• Publish weekly progress reports and manage information flow.
• Update project schedules and assist in bid development and scope for contractors.
• Prepare project schedules with milestones for shop drawings and material deliveries.
• Maintain logs of shop drawings and change requests.
• Coordinate concrete pours and coordinate testing for compliance.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and procedures.
