Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company seeks a hands-on Construction & MaintenancePlt candidate to support multiple facilities and perform plant construction, repair and maintenance tasks, including welding, fabrication, and erection. The role requires ability in electrical and plumbing practices related to field construction, with travel to other facilities and overnight stays common.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent required.
Two-year technical degree or accredited apprenticeship preferred.
3 years of aggregate maintenance, mechanical, millwright, or fabrication experience preferred.
Strong ability to read and interpret blueprints.
Experience with welding and cutting with a torch.
Knowledge of steel fabrication and erection.

Responsibilities

Perform plant construction, repair, and maintenance tasks including steel fabrication, welding, and erection.
Inspect equipment, identify wear or malfunctions, and assist with repairs.
Operate and maintain aggregate processing equipment.
Work overtime and various shifts as required.
Travel up to 90% to Vulcan operations.
