Job summary

Vulcan Materials Company is seeking an entry-level General Maintenance helper to assist with routine tasks around the worksite. Under supervision, you will learn basic maintenance functions and contribute to preventative tasks while developing skills for long-term growth.

Qualifications

• Entry-level maintenance role; no extensive experience required.
• Willingness to learn mechanical and maintenance fundamentals.
• Exposure to preventive maintenance under supervision.

Responsibilities

• Conduct pre-shift and post-shift equipment inspections and lubricate moving parts.
• Troubleshoot and replace basic mechanical components (conveyor belts, idlers, pulleys, water pumps).
• Perform structural repairs and replace wear-parts using welding, cutting, and grinding equipment.
• Adhere to MSHA and OSHA regulations, execute LOTO protocols, maintain a hazard-free area.
• Observe crushing, washing, and screening areas; identify anomalies and make minor adjustments.
• Record and maintain service logs and maintenance records.
