Job summary

Quantum Industrial is seeking Traveling HVAC Pipefitting Journeymen to install, assemble, test, and maintain HVAC and mechanical piping systems on large-scale industrial projects across multiple states. You will collaborate with foremen, superintendents, project managers, and other trades to deliver safe, high-quality installations.

The role requires 3+ years of pipefitting experience, proficiency in reading blueprints, and hands-on welding/brazing skills.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial pipefitting experience.
• Experience with HVAC, hydronic, process, or mechanical piping systems.
• Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, blueprints, and specifications.

Responsibilities

• Install, assemble, and maintain HVAC and mechanical piping systems.
• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, specifications, and layouts.
• Cut, thread, fit, weld, and assemble pipe according to project requirements.
• Prepare and install piping, fittings, valves, and related components.
• Perform pressure, hydrostatic, and leak testing.
• Troubleshoot installation issues and make field adjustments as needed.
• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively.
• Coordinate with Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades.
• Maintain quality standards and ensure work meets project specifications and applicable codes.
• Follow OSHA and company safety requirements, including proper PPE.
• Maintain tools, equipment, materials, and work areas.
• Document completed work, testing, inspections, and material usage.
• Assist with training and mentoring less-experienced pipefitters

About The Role

Traveling HVAC Pipefitting Journeyman installs, assembles, tests, and maintains HVAC and mechanical piping systems on large-scale industrial and commercial projects across multiple states. You’ll work alongside Foremen, Superintendents, Project Managers, and other trades to deliver safe, efficient, and high-quality installations.

What You’ll Do

What You'll Bring

• 3+ years of commercial or industrial pipefitting experience
• Experience with HVAC, hydronic, process, or mechanical piping systems
• Ability to read and interpret piping drawings, blueprints, and specifications
• Strong pipe fabrication, fitting, and installation skills
• Welding, brazing, threading, or grooving experience
• Knowledge of piping materials, fittings, valves, and installation methods
• Experience with pressure and leak testing
• OSHA 10 certification required
• Strong understanding of safety, quality, and jobsite procedures
• Ability to work effectively with multiple trades and field teams
• Ability and willingness to travel extensively
