The technician may travel to various healthcare facilities to collect specimens, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory procedures while supporting overall laboratory operations.

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy certification required.
• Minimum 3 years of phlebotomy experience.
• Experience with Meditech and Mobilab LIS.
• Ability to obtain blood specimens from all age groups.
• Strong documentation and data-entry skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Collect blood specimens from patients across age groups.
• Respond to stat requests and alert relevant staff.
• Log activities and sign required forms for documentation.
• Perform accessioning: patient ID, test entry, labeling.
• Transport specimens between departments as needed.
• Assist with specimen processing and handling of incoming specimens.
• Travel to nursing homes, patient homes, and satellite facilities.
• Cover understaffed areas and support lab operations.
• Comply with safety and regulatory procedures; uphold patient rights.
