Job summary

PDS Health in Columbia, SC is seeking a Dental Assistant to support clinicians and deliver the Perfect Patient Experience. You will prepare patients, assist dentists, take radiographs, manage supplies, and keep operatory areas clean and compliant with infection control guidelines.

Ideal candidates will hold a high school diploma or GED, have relevant state certification, and demonstrate excellent communication, organization, and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced dental team environment.

Qualifications

• Equivalent to high school diploma or GED with state-mandated certification/licensure.
• Specialty Dental Assistants may require travel between offices.
• Certificates/Licenses/Registrations as mandated by state.

Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for treatment and assist the dentist to enable efficient care.
• Take radiographs and intra-oral pictures as directed.
• Prepare tray setups for procedures and maintain supplies.
• Keep mouths dry and clear using suction as needed.
• Maintain a clean, sterile operatory and infection control practices.
• Record patient charting and clinician notes in the digital chart.
