Job summary

Jefferson Dental & Orthodontics seeks a Traveling Pediatric Registered Dental Assistant (RDA) to provide chairside support and patient care across the Dallas–Fort Worth area. The role requires RDA certification, pediatric experience, and the ability to travel to multiple offices while maintaining a 5-star patient experience.

Responsibilities include imaging, charting, instrument prep, sterilization, and patient education.

Qualifications

• Active RDA certification & RDA license required at time of hire.
• Nitrous Oxide certification required at time of hire.
• Minimum 3 years of dental office experience.
• Minimum 1 year of pediatric specialty experience.
• Minimum 1 year of experience with sedation.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) highly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Chairside assistance during dental procedures.
• Record patient medical histories for dentist reference.
• Perform dental imaging, x-rays, and impressions.
• Manage patient records and dental charting.
• Prepare and organize instruments for procedures.
• Administer topical anesthetics and assist with clinical tasks.
• Assist dentist during treatments, handing instruments and materials.
• Educate patients on dental care best practices.
• Create temporary crowns and assist with preparations.
• Adhere to infection control protocols and sterilize instruments.
• Support other clinic areas as needed and participate in outreach.
