St. Luke's University Health Network is seeking a Medical Assistant for Pediatric Specialty practice operations.

The position requires travel to several Pediatric Specialty locations in Allentown, Bethlehem, Easton and possibly Wind Gap, with the first two weeks of training Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm. The MA will assist in patient care, pre-visit planning, and coordination with the Care Team as part of a collaborative interdisciplinary team committed to excellence in patient care.

Qualifikationen

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• One year of clinical experience OR graduate of Medical Assistant program.
• Two years of experience in a similar healthcare setting preferred.
• Current BLS/CPR certification or within 60 days of hire.

Aufgaben

• Prepare patients for examination and escort to the exam room, including updating vitals, med list and allergies.
• Conduct pre-visit planning by reviewing medical records and coordinating with providers.
• Perform basic clinical tasks including injections or immunizations per state guidelines.
• Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and proper disposal of bio-hazardous waste as per protocol.
• Communicate with Care Team regarding hospital discharges, ED visits, and chronic disease management.
