Job summary

BeneSys, Inc. in Fond du Lac, WI is seeking an Auditor to perform onsite payroll audits for contracted employers in Fond du Lac and surrounding NE Wisconsin communities. The role involves frequent travel to ensure accurate reporting and remittance of required contributions.

The ideal candidate has post-high school education or related experience, strong math and accounting knowledge, and excellent verbal and written communication skills. Travel to NE Wisconsin and the UP of Michigan is expected.

Qualifications

• Post-high school education or related experience preferred.
• Computer skills (Microsoft Excel).
• Must be able to clearly communicate both verbally and in writing.
• High aptitude for math, with the ability to analyze and interpret facts and figures quickly. Familiarity with basic accounting principles.

Responsibilities

• Collect and analyze employer payroll data to detect deficiencies, fraud or non-compliance with laws, regulations and contract provisions.
• Prepare detailed reports on audit findings.
• Confer with Fund Counsel and Management regarding financial and regulatory matters.
• Examine records and interview workers to ensure recording of transactions are compliant with contract provisions.
• Review tax records of contracted employer.
• Identify contracted employers subject to audit and notify Fund Collector and Trustees of audit schedules.
• Assist with responding to requests and inquiries during the annual audit of the Funds.
• Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of this job.
• Other duties may be assigned.
