What you’ll do…

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will work alongside a talented Orthodontist, assisting with procedures such as initial impressions for Invisalign or traditional braces, fabrication of retainers, bracket and wire changes, and more. This role offers the opportunity to gain comprehensive dental skills through exposure to preparation, procedures, and post-operative care.

What you’ll bring to the team…
  • Assist the dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, ensuring smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under supervision
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records

Before applying, ensure you meet the state-specific requirements below:

  • Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Florida: EFDA certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
  • Georgia: CPR Certification, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Massachusetts: CPR Certification, proof of formal training, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements.
  • Michigan: Evidence of X-ray training certification upon hiring; an 8-week period to submit if not initially available.
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • New York: Not applicable.
  • Ohio: Proof of formal X-ray training, including FDOH Permit.
  • Texas: CPR Certification and TSBDE certification.
