What you’ll do…

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will work alongside a talented Orthodontist, assisting in procedures such as initial impressions for Invisalign or braces, fabrication of retainers, bracket and wire changes, and more. You will gain comprehensive skills and knowledge in dentistry through exposure to prep work, procedures, and post-op care.

What you’ll bring to the team…
  • Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care
  • Support dentists during procedures, anticipating needs for smooth workflow
  • Perform basic dental procedures under a licensed dentist’s guidance
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain accurate patient records

Ensure you meet the state requirements listed below before applying:

  • Connecticut: Certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Florida: EFDA certification and proof of training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
  • Georgia: CPR, EFDA certification, and X-ray training proof.
  • Massachusetts: CPR, X-ray training, BORID certification, and annual CE as per regulations.
  • Michigan: Evidence of X-ray training certification upon hiring or within 8 weeks.
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • New York: Not applicable.
  • Ohio: Proof of X-ray training, including FDOH Permit.
  • Texas: CPR, TSBDE certification.
