What you’ll do…

As an Orthodontic Dental Assistant, you will work alongside a talented Orthodontist, assisting in procedures such as initial impressions for Invisalign or traditional braces, fabrication of retainers, bracket and wire changes, and more. You will gain comprehensive skills and knowledge in dentistry through exposure to preparation, procedures, and post-operative care.

What you’ll bring to the team…
  • Assist our experienced dental team in providing exceptional patient care.
  • Prepare treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain a clean environment.
  • Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-treatment care.
  • Support dentists during procedures, ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Perform basic dental procedures under a licensed dentist’s supervision.
  • Manage appointment scheduling and maintain patient records accurately.

Before applying, ensure you meet the state requirements below:

  • Connecticut: certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Florida: EFDA certification and proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
  • Georgia: CPR, EFDA certification, and proof of formal training to expose X-rays.
  • Massachusetts: CPR, proof of formal training to expose X-rays, BORID certification, and annual CE requirements.
  • Michigan: Evidence of X-ray training certification required upon hiring; an 8-week grace period to submit if not available.
  • New Jersey: Proof of X-ray training.
  • New York: Not applicable.
  • Ohio: Proof of formal training to expose X-rays (including FDOH Permit).
  • Texas: CPR certification and TSBDE certification.
