Job summary

42 North Dental seeks a Traveling Orthodontic Manager to oversee day-to-day operations of the orthodontic team while supporting growth and patient care across Concord, Derry, S. Nashua, Manchester, Nashua, and Rochester.

You will partner with the Orthodontist, drive efficient scheduling, and train staff on imaging, charting, and lab communications. The role requires 3–5 years in orthodontics, strong problem-solving and proven management experience, with travel between multiple offices.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in the orthodontic field.
• Experience with problem solving and patient-care operations.
• Management experience required or demonstrated leadership capability.

Responsibilities

• Originate new business/treatment from same day consultation
• Secure Phase I and Phase II of treatment in one bill
• Ensure the orthodontist's time is available for new consultations
• Take free records and schedule Case Presentations when clinicians are busy
• Ensure first consultations are on time to boost satisfaction and growth
• Strive to minimize cost of orthodontic supplies across offices
• Train staff on VistaDent, CS SoftDent, QSIDental, Kodak CR, and Rx Wizard
• Train in four-handed dentistry techniques
• Encourage assistants to be dependable, knowledgeable and punctual
• Facilitate between assistants and patients; provide conflict mediation and hands-on support
• Confirm patient reminders two days prior to arrival
• Ensure contracts are prepared and records paid before treatment
• Encourage Front Desk to schedule additional consultations
• Other duties as assigned

Overview

This is a Traveling Orthodontic Manager role.

Requires travel between the following locations: Concord, Derry, S. Nashua, Manchester, Nashua, and Rochester.

42 North Dental has been providing dental care in New England for over 40 years. The Orthodontic Manager at Gentle Dental is partnered with the Orthodontist to drive the growth and success of their team by supporting excellence in patient care and exceeding patient service expectations. As an Orthodontic Manager you are responsible and accountable for the results of and the day-to-day operations of the Orthodontic team.

Responsibilities

• Originate new business/treatment from same day consultation
• Secure Phase I and Phase II of treatment in one bill, creating a win-win situation between the patient and Gentle Dental
• Ensure the availability of the Orthodontist’s time for new consultation without scheduled delays
• Take free records of patient to guarantee the treatment and give appointment for Case Presentation when the Orthodontist is busy or unavailable
• Make sure the first consultation of a patient is always on time because it contributes to Patient’s satisfaction and the company’s growth margin
• Strive to get the lowest cost of orthodontic supplies for each of the six-offices
• Responsible for training new hires how to use our computer systems: VistaDent software for digital photographs, CS SoftDent, QSIDental for digital notes, Kodak Computer Radiography (CR) System for digital X-Rays, and Rx Wizard for streamlining prescriptions from our offices to the orthodontic laboratory
• Training of the four-handed dentistry technique
• Encourage assistants to be dependable, knowledgeable and on time to work
• Facilitate between assistants and patients as necessary, including providing conflict mediation and providing hands‑on support in Ortho rooms
• Ensure patient reminders are confirmed two days prior to their arrival
• Ensure contracts are prepared and completed before treatment starts and records are paid
• Encourage Front Desk Coordinators to call patients who have had prior consults with the office and schedule a second free consultation
• Other duties as assigned
