Job summary

Westrock Orthodontics is seeking a dedicated Orthodontic Assistant to support our Lee's Summit, MO and Raymore, MO locations. You will work under licensed Orthodontists, delivering high-quality clinical care in a fast-paced environment with a 4‑day work week (no Fridays).

You'll assist with exams, wire placements, patient education, and efficient clinic operations while upholding meticulous treatment notes and a positive patient experience.

Qualifications

• Experience in dental or orthodontic assisting is required.
• Familiarity with orthodontic terminology, procedures and appliances.
• Able to work well in a collaborative patient‑focused team.

Responsibilities

• Assist the orthodontist during examinations and treatments, including wires and retainers.
• Guide patients through treatment plans and educate them on oral hygiene and appliance care.
• Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, take digital scans, and document treatment notes.

Job Description

At Westrock Orthodontics, we're passionate about transforming lives through confident, lifelong smiles. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you'll help support our Lee's Summit, MO and Raymore, MO locations with a 4 day work week no Fridays. Working under the direct supervision of our licensed Orthodontists, you will play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional clinical care, keeping daily workflows efficient, and creating outstanding patient experiences every step of the way.

What You'll Do

• Clinical Assisting: Partner directly with the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
• Patient Care & Education: Guide patients through their treatment plans, instruct them on proper oral hygiene and appliance care, and keep them comfortable throughout their visits.
• Clinic Operations: Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, perform digital scans, assist in fabricating customized appliances/retainers, and maintain accurate treatment notes.

• Experience: Prior experience in dental or orthodontic assisting required.
• Knowledge: Deep familiarity with orthodontic terminology, procedures, and clinical appliances.
