Job summary

Rock Dental Brands is seeking an Orthodontic Assistant to support our Lee's Summit and Raymore clinics. You’ll assist orthodontists, prepare operatories, and help deliver outstanding patient experiences.

The role features a 4-day work week with no Fridays, under direct supervision of licensed orthodontists. Ideal candidates have prior dental or orthodontic experience and familiarity with orthodontic terminology.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in dental or orthodontic assisting.
• Knowledge of orthodontic terminology, procedures and appliances.
• Strong communication and detail orientation.

Responsibilities

Job Description

At Westrock Orthodontics, we're passionate about transforming lives through confident, lifelong smiles. We are looking for a dedicated and skilled Orthodontic Assistant to join our clinical team. In this role, you'll help support our Lee's Summit, MO and Raymore, MO locations with a 4 day work week no Fridays. Working under the direct supervision of our licensed Orthodontists, you will play a hands-on role in delivering exceptional clinical care, keeping daily workflows efficient, and creating outstanding patient experiences every step of the way.

What You'll Do

• Clinical Assisting: Partner directly with the Orthodontist during examinations and treatments, placing and removing wires, coil springs, bands, and retainers.
• Patient Care & Education: Guide patients through their treatment plans, instruct them on proper oral hygiene and appliance care, and keep them comfortable throughout their visits.
• Clinic Operations: Prepare operatories, sterilize equipment, perform digital scans, assist in fabricating customized appliances/retainers, and maintain accurate treatment notes.

• Experience: Prior experience in dental or orthodontic assisting required.
• Knowledge: Deep familiarity with orthodontic terminology, procedures, and clinical appliances.
