Safari Dental (K&N Dental) seeks a Traveling Orthodontic Assistant to support the orthodontist during exams and treatments. You will assist at the chair, prepare patients, manage documentation, and uphold sterilization and infection-control standards across offices.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures.
• Familiar with Sterilization.
• Familiar with OSHA guidelines and procedures.
• Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for dental care.
• Assist the orthodontist at the chair while they are engaged in any treatment of patients.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Must anticipate the orthodontist's needs and be prepared for the next steps.
• Removal and placement of arch wires.
• Tooth preparation prior to bonding.
• Accurate computer charting.
• Sterilization of chairs and instruments.
• Responsible for oral hygiene instructions.
• Placement and removal of brackets.
• Take panoramic and cephalometric x-rays as well as oral photographs.
• Undertake lab tasks as instructed.
