Hill Country Pediatric Dentistry & Westlake Pediatric Dentistry is seeking a traveling Orthodontic Assistant to support doctors during treatment exams and chairside procedures. The role emphasizes patient care, accurate charting, and professional interactions with patients and staff.

Responsibilities include assisting the orthodontist, taking x-rays and photos, sterilizing equipment, and performing lab tasks as instructed.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures.
• Familiar with Sterilization.
• Familiar with OSHA guidelines and procedures.
• Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for dental care.
• Assist the orthodontist at the chair during treatment.
• Take panoramic and cephalometric x-rays and oral photographs.
• Placement and removal of brackets; removal and placement of arch wires.
• Sterilization of chairs and instruments; maintain infection control.
