Job summary

Community Dental Partners seeks an Orthodontic Assistant - Traveling to support doctors during treatment exams and perform Registered Dental Assistant duties with a focus on patient care and professional service.

You will greet patients, assist the orthodontist at the chair, manage x-rays and brackets, and ensure sterilization and charting accuracy while maintaining strong communication with the team.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
• Knowledge of dental terminology and dental procedures.
• Familiar with sterilization.
• Familiar with OSHA guidelines and procedures.
• Experience in a professional environment with direct patient contact preferred.
• Previous experience required.

Responsibilities

• Greet and prepare patients for dental care.
• Assist the orthodontist at the chair during treatment.
• Anticipate the orthodontist's needs and prepare the next steps.
• Remove and place arch wires.
• Prepare teeth prior to bonding.
• Maintain accurate computer charting.
• Sterilize chairs and instruments.
• Provide oral hygiene instructions.
• Place and remove brackets.
• Take panoramic and cephalometric x-rays and oral photographs.
• Perform lab tasks as instructed.
