Collins Vision in Southwest Florida seeks an Ophthalmic Technician to support patients across Fort Myers, Naples, and Punta Gorda. The role offers full-time or part-time schedules with travel between offices and a fast-paced, team-oriented clinic environment.

Responsibilities include patient history, comprehensive workups, testing, documentation in the EMR, and assisting providers. Experience with ophthalmic testing equipment and EMA/Modernizing Medicine is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum one year of ophthalmic technician experience (required).
• COA or COT certification is a plus (preferred).
• Experience with ophthalmic testing equipment and comprehensive workups (required).
• Experience using an electronic medical record system; EMA or Modernizing Medicine is a plus.
• Scribing experience is a plus.
• Strong communication, organization, and attention to detail.
• Compassionate, patient-focused approach.
• Reliable transportation to travel between Fort Myers, Naples, and Punta Gorda offices.

Responsabilités

• Welcoming patients and explaining testing procedures.
• Obtaining and documenting chief complaints, medical and ocular histories, medications, and allergies.
• Performing accurate patient workups.
• Measuring visual acuity, pupils, motility, confrontation fields, color vision, and stereopsis.
• Performing tonometry, refraction, pachymetry, corneal topography, and other physician-directed testing.
• Documenting patient information accurately in the EMR.
• Supporting providers and fellow team members throughout the clinic.
• Traveling between Collins Vision locations as operational needs require.
• Helping us deliver compassionate, efficient, and exceptional patient care.
