Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking an Ophthalmic Assistant Floater to support ophthalmology clinics across multiple locations in Spring, TX. You will work closely with physicians, prepare patients, perform preliminary eye tests, and help with charting and in-office procedures.

This role requires traveling to nearby Spring Klein locations and possibly Kingwood/Tomball as needed. A strong background in eye tests, basic optometry, and patient interaction is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Basic Life Support certification required or obtainable within 6 months.
• Uncertified ophthalmic assistants must obtain COA/COT/COMT within 1 year.

Responsibilities

• Stock, prepare, and maintain exam rooms and equipment.
• Review patient charts for accuracy and prep patients for exams.
• Perform tests as directed by the ophthalmologist and assist in procedures.
• Administer medications as directed and document exam data.
• Schedule and manage patient appointments and travel between locations.
