Virginia Oncology Associates in Hampton is seeking an Oncology RN to support our office in Hampton. This full-time, in-person position offers a compensation range of $31.85 - $64.75 per hour, with pay determined by experience, education, credentials, and internal equity.

Responsibilities include administering chemotherapy and other medications, monitoring therapy, venipuncture, maintaining CVADs, ensuring patient flow, and documenting care. Travel between offices is required.

Competenze

• Graduate from an accredited program for professional nursing education.
• Oncology experience strongly preferred.
• Current RN state license required.
• Current BCLS certification required.
• OCN certification preferred.
• Must be willing to travel between offices as needed.

Mansioni

• Administers chemotherapy, hydration, and other medications under physician direction.
• Assesses and monitors therapy of patients using appropriate technical skills under physician direction.
• Assesses patients for changes in condition and initiates appropriate action.
• Performs venipuncture, accesses implanted ports and maintains central venous access devices and alternate delivering systems.
• Maintains efficient and appropriate patient flow.
• Phone triage as assigned.
• Documents all elements of care.
• Serves as a resource to the Medical Assistants.
• Communicates all pertinent information and any interventions to the physician or advanced practice provider.
• Assesses patient and family needs.
