Job summary

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of 3 years of retail supervisory experience.
• Ability to operate all equipment necessary for the job.
• Ability to complete assignments within the time allotted.

Responsibilities

• Provide outstanding customer service through training and modeling.
• Ensure resources are in place for superior checkout service.
• Monitor cash handling and related processes to minimize losses.
• Maintain required non-employee files and record keeping.
• Coach and guide newly hired Associates.
• Educate team on company policy, expectations and procedures.
• Ensure proper opening and closing of the store.
• Communicate effectively with Associates and leaders.
• Maintain accuracy of attendance, scheduling, and timekeeping systems.
• Complete internal reporting processes timely and accurately.
• Maintain merchandise presentation standards in the book department.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
