Job summary

SLS Consultants is seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead data center, semiconductor, and healthcare construction projects. You will manage mechanical, electrical, and plumbing delivery, coordinate with multiple stakeholders, and ensure on-time, on-budget performance.

The ideal candidate has 6+ years in MEP project management, a related engineering degree, and strong communication skills to drive design, procurement, testing, and handover activities across diverse teams and clients.

Qualifications

• 6+ years MEP project management experience
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Management, or related area strongly preferred; equivalent experience considered
• Data center, semiconductor or healthcare construction experience preferred
• Proficient in project management tools, project accounting, and construction drawings.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and monitor all aspects of MEP project delivery, including mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, ensuring works are completed in accordance with project schedules, budgets, specifications, and quality standards.
• Review and manage contractor schedules, RFIs, technical submittals, change orders, and progress reports to ensure compliance with design intent, contract requirements, and overall project objectives.
• Identify, assess, and proactively mitigate project risks relating to schedule, cost, quality, commissioning, system integration, and site operations.
• Lead MEP coordination and construction meetings with contractors, consultants, vendors, and client representatives to resolve technical issues, manage interfaces, and maintain alignment across all project stakeholders.
• Oversee procurement activities, equipment delivery schedules, and long-lead items to ensure critical MEP equipment and materials are available in line with construction milestones and critical path requirements.
• Coordinate MEP installation activities with civil, structural, architectural, and other trades to minimise clashes, avoid rework, and maintain efficient site progress.
• Monitor project costs, variations, change management, contractor performance, and progress against agreed budgets and programme milestones, escalating issues and implementing corrective actions where required.
• Oversee MEP quality assurance and quality control activities, ensuring installations meet project specifications, applicable codes and standards, safety requirements, and client expectations.
• Coordinate system testing, commissioning, integrated systems testing, and handover activities to ensure all MEP systems are fully operational, properly documented, and ready for client acceptance.
• Maintain accurate project documentation, including meeting minutes, action trackers, progress reports, technical records, commissioning documentation, and handover deliverables.
