Job summary

ERock is seeking a Mechanical Technician to maintain, service, and operate its distributed generation equipment for customer requirements. The role is field-based with approximately 75% travel and reports to the Reliability Program Manager.

The candidate should have at least 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience, with education in College or Military training. Volvo Penta, PSI, and Marathon generator experience are valued, along with strong technical and team collaboration skills.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of mechanical and/or electrical experience.
• Background in power generation equipment preferred.
• Able to read schematics and manuals.
• Willing to travel up to 75% for field assignments.

Responsibilities

• Perform skilled repairs of Volvo Penta Diesel Engines (16 L), PSI (21.9 L) and Marathon generator ends.
• Learn and use manufacturer-specific software to troubleshoot engine and control systems.
• Coordinate with equipment manufacturers for technical support.
• Perform scheduled, preventive, or predictive generator maintenance.
• Troubleshoot and repair engine and control system issues.
• Inspect equipment to identify maintenance needs.
• Work in high heat, humidity, and cold environments.
• Follow company procedures for communications.
• Utilize technology for communication, documentation, and research.
• Ensure safe operation of electrical equipment.
• Safely operate and maintain company vehicles for business.
• Additional responsibilities as directed.
