Job summary

Power Design is seeking a Traveling Mechanical Superintendent to lead field operations across project sites. You will direct the project team to complete work on schedule while upholding safety, quality, and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities include supervising field crews, coordinating with trades and the general contractor, and ensuring compliance with mechanical codes. The role requires an active HVAC or Plumbing license and English proficiency.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of field supervision experience on multimillion-dollar construction projects.
• Active Mechanical (HVAC) or Plumbing license.
• Knowledge of the National Building Code and local codes.
• Strong written and spoken English communication.
• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Basic computer and writing skills required.

Responsibilities

• Allocate and train field crew and supervise daily field work.
• Plan, organize and direct contracted scope production.
• Build relationships with customers, inspectors and trades.
• Coordinate with trades and GC to resolve conflicts and ensure quality service.
• Ensure installations meet quality and mechanical codes.
• Manage materials and personnel to meet schedule.
• Uphold Power Design’s safety and quality standards.

About The Position

The mechanical superintendent position at Power Design is a critical leadership role responsible for providing direction to the project team to complete the project on time while maintaining a high-level quality, safety and customer loyalty. The Mechanical Superintendent has significant impact on the success of the company and delivering on our mission to be the most trusted name in the industry.

Position details/responsibilities

• Manage, evaluate and train field project team members.
• Plan, organize and direct production of contracted scope of work.
• Build and maintain relationships with customers, inspectors and other trades.
• Coordinate production and attend meetings with other trades as well as the general contractor to identify and resolve any conflicts while providing excellent customer service.
• Ensure all installations meet quality and mechanical code standards.
• Manage material and personnel requirements necessary to meet schedule.
• Adhere to Power Design’s standards of quality, safety and best practices.

Here’s what we’re looking for

• OSHA 30 certification preferred.
• Skilled field supervisor with at least 10 years of experience managing crews and running multimillion dollar construction projects.
• An active Mechanical (HVAC) or Plumbing license.
• Proficient knowledge of the National building Code, local codes and construction safety requirements.
• Must be proficient in speaking, reading, and writing in English.
• Must have at least basic computer and writing skills.
