Job summary

Signature HealthCARE seeks an MDS float nurse to cover open positions, traveling Monday–Friday to long-term care centers in KY, TN, IN and NC, with overnight stays. Travel is reimbursed per policy, allowing focus on resident assessments and family engagement.

You will educate on RAI, PPS and QM’s, collaborate with the reimbursement team, and demonstrate competency in Medicare/Medicaid guidelines while supporting SHC’s standards of care.

Qualifications

• Current licensure as a Registered Nurse or Licensed Practical Nurse with ability to obtain multi-state licensures.
• Minimum of three (3) years MDS experience in a long-term care setting.
• Travel to centers up to 100% of the time with overnight stays as needed.

Responsibilities

• Provide MDS coverage for open positions, educate and implement programs that apply to the Resident Assessment Instrument (RAI), PPS, QM’s, Medicaid Casemix and Medicare guidelines for all SHC stakeholders.
• Assist and collaborate with Clinical Reimbursement Specialist with onboarding of new MDSC.
• Exhibit competency in all areas of the RAI, Care Planning, PPS, Medicare, and when applicable Medicaid Case Mix

Education
