Job summary

Herc Rentals is seeking a ProSolutions Mission Critical Regional Technician, East to travel extensively and service fleets across multiple states. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment, prioritizing urgent needs and large projects while working independently with local teams and customers.

The role requires strong diagnostic skills, 7+ years of field experience, and a complete personal toolset.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade certs preferred.
• Minimum 7 years as a heavy equipment technician, field service ideal.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred.
• Own a complete set of personal tools for diagnostics and repair.

Responsibilities

• Travel to branches and job sites to diagnose, repair, and maintain fleet equipment.
• Prioritize service needs in high-impact areas and support for large projects.
• Diagnose and service diesel/gas engines, transmissions, brakes and electronics.
• Repair parts and perform preventive maintenance to restore readiness.
• Educate customers on proper equipment use and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean, organized work areas and complete repair paperwork.
• Mentor local technicians and collaborate with branch managers.
