Job summary

Herc Rentals seeks a Mission Critical Regional Technician, West, to travel to branches and customer sites across the US to diagnose, repair, and maintain a wide range of fleet equipment. This master-level technician role emphasizes high availability and minimal downtime for critical projects.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; trade certification preferred.
• Minimum 7 years of experience as a heavy equipment technician, preferably in field service roles.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred.

Responsibilities

• Travel to Herc branches and customer sites to diagnose, repair, and perform maintenance on fleet equipment.
• Prioritize service needs in high-impact areas and support large-scale projects.
• Diagnose and service diesel/gas engines, hydraulic, electrical, and propane systems.
• Maintain DOT logs and repair documentation; produce service reports.
