Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services seeks a Journeyman Lineman Non-Union to install and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines in Texas. You will handle poles, cables, transformers and associated equipment, working on energized and de-energized systems.

Climbing structures, operating heavy equipment, and strict adherence to safety rules are required. CDL preferred; pre-employment screening applies; out-of-state storm travel may be needed.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of electrical linework experience.
• Proof of work experience, schooling, and certifications.
• Ability to work safely with energized high voltage systems.
• Must be able to climb structures and operate related equipment.

Responsibilities

• Setting poles and anchors; stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, arrestors, cutouts, and switches.
• Construction/maintenance on energized and de-energized lines with safety compliance.
• Troubleshooting primary and secondary systems.
• Replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Daily testing and inspection of tools/equipment for safety.
• Report injuries or safety concerns to foreman.
• Other duties related to overhead power installation.
