Job summary

Pearce Services is seeking a skilled and highly motivated Traveling Lead HVAC Installation Technician to install and upgrade commercial cooling systems. This travel-heavy role requires comprehensive HVAC expertise, safety compliance, and the ability to manage projects on site.

Expect 90% overnight travel with the Fort Wayne, Indiana area as home base; the ideal candidate has 10+ years of experience, EPA Universal certification, and is comfortable coordinating with teams while ensuring quality

Qualifications

EPA Universal Certification is required.
Minimum of 10 years in commercial/industrial HVAC installation and servicing.
Forklift and Crane operation certification is a plus.
Experience with wall-mounted MarvAir, Bard and MarvAir DAC/WAC units preferred.
Advanced knowledge of mechanical and electrical HVAC components; read ductwork and drawings.

Responsibilities

Install, replace, and upgrade commercial cooling systems and perform quality checks.
Plan projects and manage onsite time and workflow.
Ensure safety standards and project specifications are followed.
Travel to remote work sites as needed; 75% travel indicated.
Document daily reports and support project objectives.
Read and interpret mechanical drawings and construction documents.
