Job summary

Avantor’s Traveling Onsite Service Operations Specialist will support multiple facilities in the SF Bay Area, traveling to Santa Clara, Livermore, and South San Francisco as needed. The role involves coordinating with customers, managing inventory, and using SAP and other systems.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years in relevant logistics/ops roles, strong communication, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel. Mileage reimbursement is included, and a CDL is a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; advanced degree a plus.
• 3+ years in inventory control, procurement, shipping/receiving or inside sales.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office/365 applications.
• Must travel and have a valid driver’s license; CDL a plus.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and travel to multiple Bay Area locations.

Responsibilities

• Support multiple facilities/customers in a strategic geographic area.
• May back up other territories and travel outside designated area.
• Coordinate and lead team efforts to meet customer requirements.
• Interact with customer points-of-contact and procurement/purchasing teams.
• Use SAP and other systems to manage inventory and lab materials.
• Train staff on service offerings and support SAP processes.
